Leaf Thorn Razor - My fist proper razor!
As someone new to double-edge and single-edge shaving I decided to go with the Leaf Thorn razor after seeing a fair number of YouTube videos. I chose this as a starting point because it is closer in design to all the disposable razors I have used in the past. I love this razor, I like that the weight of it means you almost do not need to apply any pressure to shave. The razor does the work. I don't know if I would call this razor aggressive, more like a medium. I like the ease of changing the single blades. My razor arrived quickly, and nicely packed, with a little tester of a shaving balm (I haven't tried it yet!) so thank you Agentshave! I have now had a few shaves with this razor and as said before I love it, I will never go back to cartridge razors or disposable razors again. My only gripe and I think this might be because of the hair type I have or Leaf's brand razor I am getting about one maybe two shaves out of it before having to replace the blade. The blades are cheap, so I am not worried about that, but I think it might be an idea for beginners to buy a couple of different razor blades to see which gives you the better performance. It would be useful if there was a care and maintenance video or webpage for this razor. One thing I did notice is the underside of the razor if not checked or cleaned properly will hold shaving scum. An old toothbrush or small brush will resolve it. All in all, though it is a great razor.
