Probably the best shaving soap I've used - "marmite" fragrance
Wow, where to start with this wonderful soap? The packaging - great artwork and solidly made plastic tub/jar, with sufficient space (is it 4oz soap in a 6oz jar?) to lather within the jar. Open the jar and the fragrance is probably going to massively divide opinion - I smelt 'wet grass/rained on rocks', my wife was a little less complimentary. Moving on to the performance. I went through my usual routine of wash/rinse/wash with a PAA Cube (the menthol version) whilst I soaked my brush and left a little water on the soap for it to 'bloom'. Shook the brush and with minimal effort and in no time at all (I live in a soft water area) I whipped up a wonderfully thick, almost yoghurt like lather. On the face this is sublime - wonderful razor glide with great protection and I felt like I've had the closest shave I've had in a long time. Post shave is where this really shines - my face feels wonderfully moisturised with literally zero post shave tightness or irritation. I'm loving the Wholly Kaw Siero tallow base, and will definitely be trying more of their range in the future.
